DESCRIPTION:Training Weekend\nMultiple trainings will be offered. Please see the descriptions of each training being offered listed below. \nIOLS is 3 days 2 nights\, BALOO is 2 days one night\, and ILST is one day no overnight.  \nTrainings Offered: \nBasic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) – Is a one-and-a-half-day course designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. \n\nBSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.\nBALOO training consists of an online pre-requisite component and an overnight practical hands-on component.\nCompletion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack or Webelos den overnighter.\nThe online component must be completed prior to attending the practical component; bring the online component completion certicate to the practical component training.\nGo to my.scouting.org training site to take the online training portion.\n\nIntroduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) – is a one-and-a-half-day hands-on course providing adult leaders with the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. \n\nParticipants will learn first-hand about selecting a campsite\, pitching a tent\, hiking\, outdoor cooking\, first aid and leave-no-trace principles.\nUpon completion\, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First-Class rank.\nIn conjunction with Scoutmaster Position Specifics training\, this course is required for all direct contact leaders registered in Scouts BSA Troops in order to be considered “trained”.\n\nIntroduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) \nThe purpose of the ILST course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to reach success most effectively in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities. \n\nILST is the first course in the series of leadership training offered to Scouts and is a replacement for Troop Leadership Training.\nCompletion of ILST is a prerequisite for Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT).\n\nAll participants of either course must bring a current copy of the BSA Annual Health Medical Form Parts A & B.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all Cub Scouts and their families! Greater Tampa Bay Area Council’s annual Splash-O-Ree will be held at three GTBAC camps this year.  We will also be offering Splash-O-Ree over two weekends!  Jurrassic Island will  be a fun experience for Scouts and their families. Saturday will be filled with Cub-friendly activities where the Scouts get wet! \nCome for the day or camp for the entire weekend with your family and pack!  Your registration makes that possible\, and the optional meal fee (full details below) will cover Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast. \nWe look forward to seeing you at Splash-O-Ree! \nWho Can Attend? \nAll registered Lions\, Tigers\, Wolfs\, Bears\, Webelos\, and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts are encouraged to attend so long as they have at least one parent or guardian who can attend with them. Other family members are welcome to attend\, but their participation in events will be limited. If you are from out of council\, feel free to join us! \nDifferent Camps – Different Experiences \nAll of our camps have plenty of room to spread out our campers.  Please register early to guarantee your spot. DESCRIPTION:Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event\, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. \nBALOO training consists of two components—an online component and a practical\, hands-on component. DESCRIPTION:Our first camping trip of the year is Spook-O-Ree\, October 21-23 at Camp Brorein in Odessa. This is a Council-hosted campout (multiple packs attending) with an action-packed weekend of Cub Scout activities\, concluding with a haunted trail Saturday night! \nYour Pack 46 dues includes Spook-O-Ree for registered scouts and an adult (for sibling-scouts\, one adult is included). Additional family members can register at a cost of $40 for non-scout siblings and $33 for additional parents/guardians (siblings five years of age and under are free and participation in activities will be limited).
