Individuals will need to consider this and avoid such items in their choices in the dining hall.  In addition\, remember that the Food Team cannot feasibly plan for all specific dietary needs of all persons attending the event. Therefore\, all special dietary needs must be indicated at the time of registration.  Depending upon the special food requirements they may be asked to make their own arrangements to meet those needs by bringing their own food — just as they would bring their own medications.  Any dietary requests made within 2 weeks of the event will not be able to be honored. \nVolunteers \nPlease contact your camp director for the password to register as a volunteer. SUMMARY:Summer Training Weekend (Adult Leader Training)
DESCRIPTION:Training Weekend\nMultiple trainings will be offered. Please see the descriptions of each training being offered listed below. \nIOLS is 3 days 2 nights\, BALOO is 2 days one night\, and ILST is one day no overnight.  \nTrainings Offered: \nBasic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) – Is a one-and-a-half-day course designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. \n\nBSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience.\nBALOO training consists of an online pre-requisite component and an overnight practical hands-on component.\nCompletion of this course is mandatory for a MINIMUM OF ONE adult on a Pack or Webelos den overnighter.\nThe online component must be completed prior to attending the practical component; bring the online component completion certicate to the practical component training.\nGo to my.scouting.org training site to take the online training portion.\n\nIntroduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) – is a one-and-a-half-day hands-on course providing adult leaders with the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. \n\nParticipants will learn first-hand about selecting a campsite\, pitching a tent\, hiking\, outdoor cooking\, first aid and leave-no-trace principles.\nUpon completion\, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First-Class rank.\nIn conjunction with Scoutmaster Position Specifics training\, this course is required for all direct contact leaders registered in Scouts BSA Troops in order to be considered “trained”.\n\nIntroduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) \nThe purpose of the ILST course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to reach success most effectively in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities. \n\nILST is the first course in the series of leadership training offered to Scouts and is a replacement for Troop Leadership Training.\nCompletion of ILST is a prerequisite for Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT).\n\nAll participants of either course must bring a current copy of the BSA Annual Health Medical Form Parts A & B.
