Scales, Tails, and a Whole Lot of Smiles at Our September Pack Meeting!

What a night, Pack 46! Our September 15th Pack Meeting was packed with energy, and judging by the squeals (both excited and slightly nervous), it’s one our Cubs won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Our AOLs Led the Way

We kicked things off with an outstanding opening ceremony led by our Arrow of Light Scouts. These oldest Cubs stepped up with confidence and set the tone for the evening, showing the younger Scouts exactly what leadership looks like. Great job, AOLs! You made the whole Pack proud.

Den Updates: Our Cubs Have Been Busy!

Next, each Den Leader took the floor to share what their dens have been up to. From adventures completed to plans on the horizon, it was clear that every den is off to a fantastic start this year. A huge thank you to our Den Leaders for all the time and heart they pour into our Scouts every single week.

The Main Event: Dundee Farms Brought the Critters!

Then it was time for the moment everyone had been waiting for. Our friends from Dunndee Farms paid us a visit and brought along some of their scaly and not-so-scaly friends. Our Cubs got up close and personal with snakes, lizards, spiders, scorpions, and even an axolotl! (Yes, the little smiling salamander stole a few hearts.)

It was amazing to watch Scouts who started out hiding behind their parents end up leaning in for a closer look by the end of the night. Curiosity won out over nerves, and our Cubs learned a ton about these fascinating creatures and how to treat wildlife with care and respect. A big thank you to Dunndee Farms for sharing your animals and your knowledge with us!

Archery, Axes, and a Whole Lot of Fun!

What an incredible night at our latest pack meeting! Under the leadership of our new Cubmaster, Chris Rain, our Scouts enjoyed an action-packed meeting that set the tone for the upcoming season!

Watching our Scouts move from station to station with huge smiles on their faces reminded us why we do what we do. Scouting isn’t just about badges and ranks — it’s about building confidence, trying new things, and having genuine, memorable fun with friends.

We were also thrilled to welcome several new families to the pack this week! They came out to see firsthand what Cub Scouting is all about, and we hope they left with a sense of the excitement, camaraderie, and adventure that make our pack so special. Whether you’re brand new to Scouting or just scouting things out, there’s a place for you here.

A huge thank you to Cub Master Chris Rain for bringing such a fun and dynamic vision to this meeting, and to all our volunteers who helped run the stations and keep everyone safe. Here’s to many more adventures ahead — we can’t wait to see what’s next!

2026 Fall Dues

Fall Dues

Pack Dues are Separate from your Annual Scouting America Registration!

Pack dues of $135 per semester stay entirely in the Pack and include the Spook-O-Ree Campout (Fall, 1 scout & 1 adult), Crossover Campout (Spring, 1 scout & 1 adult), Pack Meetings, Den Meetings, Awards & Badges, a Pack T-shirt (one per year), Pinewood Derby Car Kit (Spring), Community Events, Pack Equipment, and administrative expenses.

National/Council Registration Fees are $118 per year and are paid directly to National BSA (not on this site). These cover your registration as a scout in the Boy Scouts of America. $85 goes directly to National BSA for program development, online training/resources (including Scout Book), insurance, etc. $33 goes to the local Greater Tampa Bay Area Council to support council camps, council programs, leader training, and youth programs.

Sibling scouts are discounted $10 per semester and Scouts will have the chance to earn some or all of their Spring dues or Kennedy Center Overnight Campout by participating in our annual Fall fundraiser.

Crossover Ceremony 2026

What an incredible day for Tampa Bay Pack 46! Our Crossover Ceremony was a celebration to remember as our Cub Scouts proudly marked their advancement to the next chapter of their Scouting journey. Crossing over is so much more than moving up a rank—it’s a moment of pride, growth, and accomplishment that represents every badge earned, every skill mastered, and every friendship forged along the way. As our Scouts stepped forward to claim their new ranks, you could feel the energy and excitement in the air, a reminder that bigger adventures, new challenges, and unforgettable memories are waiting just around the corner!

The day also marked a special milestone for our pack as we celebrated a change of command. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to outgoing Cub Master Nick Digirolamo for his dedication, leadership, and tireless commitment to our Scouts and families—thank you for everything you’ve given to Pack 46! We’re equally thrilled to welcome our new Cub Master, Christopher Rain, as he steps into this exciting role. With fresh energy and a passion for adventure, Christopher is ready to lead our pack forward into a future full of discovery, growth, and fun. Here’s to new leadership, new adventures, and the amazing journey ahead—Pack 46 is just getting started!

The first official camping trip of the scouting season was a blast! Everyone came out to enjoy a fun weekend at Camp Brorein with all the typical scout activities with a Halloween twist!

October 2025 Pack Meeting

Pumpkin Drop

October means all things Halloween, and in the spirit of that holiday, the scouts took a crack at reusing household waste to make pumpkins drop-proof. Many of the precious gourds survived the fall, and some did not, but fun was had by all!

This month’s Pack meeting focused on collecting supplies for Owl’s Nest Sanctuary. They also came to the meeting to discuss the kinds of animals they take in, some tips what to do when scouts encounter animals in the wild and introduced us to a couple of their animal ambassadors.

2025 Crossovers

The 2024/2025 season comes to a close with the Crossover Ceremony. This was a banner year for Pack 46 and the number of scouts continues to grow thanks to everyone from our outstanding leaders to our amazing parents. Everyone came together this year to learn, grow, and help each other! The adventure will continue with several activities scheduled over the summer and we can’t wat to see what tee 2025/2026 season will bring!
