Our October Pack meeting had a Halloween theme and a real engineering challenge. Scouts showed up with boxes, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, and anything else from home that might cushion a fall. Then they went to work building protective cases for their pumpkins.

There was plenty of creativity in the room. Some scouts went for layers of padding. Others wanted extra structure. A few tried designs we hadn’t seen before. Every team was testing the same idea: could their design take the hit?

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: the annual Pumpkin Toss! One by one, the pumpkins went flying. Some came out without a scratch, and some… well, let’s just say we learned a lot about what doesn’t work. 😄 Whatever happened to their pumpkin, the scouts cheered for each other and had a blast seeing their engineering put to the test.

This meeting is always one of the highlights of our season, and this year was no exception. It was also the perfect warm-up for our first official campout of the year, Spook-O-Ree! 👻🏕️

Thank you to all the families who gathered supplies and came out to cheer. We can’t wait to see what our scouts build next!
